Regional Academics

Regional Academics is here for you, serving approximately 1,000 traditional and non-traditional students throughout Pierpont's 13-county service region with admission applications, academic advising/scheduling, first year student testing, financial aid, payments, and of course, academics.

Pierpont's north-central service region is divided into northern and southern service areas.  The northern area includes technical centers and high schools in Philippi, West Union, Fairmont, Morgantown, Kingwood and Grafton. Evening classes are scheduled for both traditional and adult learners with day-time classes offered for high school students on-site.  

The southern service area includes technical centers and high schools in Bridgeport, Clarksburg, Weston, Sutton, Buckhannon, and Elkins offerng a full range of classes in the fall, spring and summer semesters for traditional, non-traditional and high school students. 

Coordination between on-campus full-time faculty and adjunct faculty who teach off-campus courses assures the same standards of quality as those offered on campus. All off-campus classes are governed by policies and procedures in effect at Pierpont Community & Technical College.

Pierpont Community & Technical College is part of the state’s growing high technology corridor with a metro area of about 50,000 residents and an enrollment of more than 3,000 traditional and non-traditional students.  Pierpont offers more than 45 associate and certificate degree programs, skill set certificates, and advance skill set certificates. It specializes in preparing students in two years or less for practical hands-on careers and provides non-credit enrichment courses for individuals and customized workplace trainings for local employers.
