*All Online Teacher Professional Development courses have been certified as meeting "Options 2 and/or 4" on Form 4 for Teacher Re-Certification in the State of West Virginia.
Pierpont Continuing Education's Online Teacher Professional Development courses are transcripted with a course prefix of “XEDU” and are equivalent to 1.5 credits. Classes are graded Satisfactory (S) or Unsatisfactory (U), with the grade of "S" being equivalent to a B or better. These classes are approved for re-certification, salary increment and upgrade only and do not count toward any degree at Pierpont Community & Technical College or Fairmont State University. WV Department of Education recognizes up to 15 undergraduate and/or continuing education credits for re-certification.
