Comprised of faculty representing Pierpont Community & Technical College and Fairmont State University, the Faculty Development Committee oversees the distribution of faculty grants and awards. The committee's charge is to publicize and solicit applications for Faculty Development awards/grants and select the recipients for final approval by the president. Faculty Development Committee Members' Awards Eligibility
With the exception of the Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence who is not eligible for teaching awards, Faculty Development Committee members may be nominated or apply for awards and grants provided they meet the specified award and/or grant criteria; however, no applicant/nominee will serve on the sub-committee whose task is to determine either the award for which the committee member has been nominated or the grant for which the committee member has submitted a funding request. No nominee or applicant will be present at meetings when said awards and grant proposals are discussed.
