The collaboration with Development Dimensions International (DDI), a human resource consulting firm widely recognized for leadership and management training programs that improve employee performance, gives the local business community access to programs that they otherwise would have to develop in-house or hire DDI trainers to travel to their site.
Pierpont's Center for Workforce Education will be offering training such as "Essentials of Leadership," a dynamic course that teaches leaders how to get results through people. During the course, students learn a set of essential skills to meet both practical business needs and people's personal needs. Another course, "Leading High Performance Teams," provides team leaders with the tools and skills to perform three primary responsibilities-diagnose, coach and reinforce-that support their team's growth.
"This partnership allows Pierpont to contribute to the business growth and success of North Central West Virginia by providing the best training and development resources to area companies," said Bo Sellers, Professional Development Coordinator at Pierpont.
