Pierpont Student Wins Contest to Name Bookstore

Thursday, January 19, 2012 - Tuesday, January 31, 2012

The bookstore on the shared main campus of Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College now has a new name: Bound for Success.

In the fall 2011 semester, the Bookstore Advisory Board, Student Government and the Campus Bookstore sponsored a contest to allow students to suggest names for the store, which is under the management of Follett Higher Education Group. Students submitted more than three dozen entries.

Jesse Sisler, a Business Management major at Pierpont, has won first place and, in addition to the honor of naming the bookstore, will receive a $150 gift card from the store.

Nick Terwilliger, of Bridgeport, won second place and a $75 gift card; and Logan Moore, of Morgantown, won third place and a $25 gift card.

Sisler, a 2004 graduate of Preston County High School and current resident of Taylor County, is set to graduate with her associate degree in May. She plans to continue her studies in the fall by enrolling at Fairmont State.
