Pierpont Community & Technical College

FIRST-TIME FRESHMAN

  • Application for Admission
  • Official high school transcript (sent by high school)
    - or - official GED (sent by Department of Education)
  •  ACT/SAT scores
    - or - Placement Tests (to be administered by the college at no cost)
  • Official college transcript (if college credit was earned during high school)
  • Immunization record - Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) (if born after January 1, 1957)

TRANSFERS

  • Application for Admission
  • Official college transcript (from accredited institution(s); if transferring fewer than 15 earned credit hours, ACT, SAT or COMPASS is also required)
  • Immunization record - Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) (if born after January 1, 1957)

POST-BACCALAUREATE STUDENT (seeking another degree)

  • Application for Admission
  • Official college transcript(s)
  • Immunization record - Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) (if born after January 1, 1957)

Non Degree Seeking
(applicants with less than 15 hours who are not seeking a degree)

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT (current high school student) must meet the following criteria:

  • Application for Admission
  • Completed his/her junior year of high school curriculum
  • Current high school grade point average of 3.0
  • Permission letter form parent
  • Recommendation letter from the high school principal or counselor
  • Proof of pre-requisite (see catalog)

POST-BACCALAUREATE STUDENT (not seeking another degree)

TRANSIENT STUDENT (students enrolled at another school and returning to that institution)

Competitive Programs
Some programs have specific application deadlines and limited admission. Refer to those noted with an asterisk on the application for admission. A completed file for a competitive/selective program may include:

  • Application for Admission
  • Program Application
  • Non-refundable program application fee
  • Official test scores (varies by program)
  • Official high school transcript or Official GED scores
  • Official college transcript from each institution attended
  • Seventh semester grades for high school applicants
  • Prerequisites (see catalog)
  • Nursing applicants only, TEAS test
  • Nursing applicants only, LPN transcript and copy of license if applicable
