Campus Visitation Day
Pierpont Community & Technical College (in partnership with Fairmont State University) will host Campus Visitation Day this Spring. Campus Visitation Day is held for students of all ages (and their families) who are deciding where to continue their education. Campus Visitation Day is a great opportunity for prospective students to check out both institutions and to get to know us better, in addition to our academic programs. The event can be thought of much like an open house where you can decide which sessions you would like to attend. Check-in for the event is slated to open at 8:00 a.m. in the Falcon Center and the program will commence promptly at 9:00 a.m. Depending on which sessions each student opts to participate in that afternoon, activities on the main campus can be expected to wrap up around 2:30 p.m.
Pierpont Community & Technical College administrators will give a welcome, followed by an academic fair and other informative sessions. Those attending will have the opportunity to visit with faculty members and receive information on admissions, financial aid, veterans affairs, and housing. Special sessions will also be offered on topics such as student life and the honors program.
Campus and residence hall tours will also be offered throughout the afternoon in addition to a FREE lunch. Also, participants who wish to tour off-Fairmont Campus facility, Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace Education Center and/or Applied Design Program will be welcomed to do so (directions provided at check-out). Please note, off-campus tour attendees should plan to provide their own transportation.
Please note: we will be hosting a special session within Campus Visitation Day for adult students (23 years and older). This special adult track will include information pertinent to non-traditional students (specifics regarding financial aid, veteran’s information, available resources/services, off-campus/online classes, and much more). Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in the Academic Fair, enjoy a complimentary lunch, and have a tour of the main campus. If you are interested in participating in this special adult student track, please indicate so when RSVP-ing.
