Applying For Housing
Who Needs to Apply?
Remember that Fairmont State University does require four consecutive semesters of on-campus living for most students. Since you can cancel your housing application at any time before May 31st if you change your mind, we recommend that you apply as soon as you think you may need housing. If you're not sure if you will need housing, please check the list below to see if you should apply:
- All FSU and Pierpont Freshmen and Sophomores
- All transfer students with less than 60 credit hours
Beginning college can be a big transition, and we want to make it as smooth as we can. If you are considering attending Fairmont State University, we recommend that you complete your housing application as soon as possible. The sooner your application is complete, the sooner you can choose the perfect room for you before they start to fill up! We understand that circumstances may change, however, so we allow you to cancel or change your application until May 31st with no penalty! The menu to the left should contain all of the information you need for the application process, but feel free to contact our office by phone or e-mail if you would like more information or to discuss your options.
