EMT — Basic 

The Emergency Medical Technician – Basic program combines 150 hours of classroom and hands-on skills labs (hybrid) providing students the knowledge, skills and attributes to perform emergency medical care as an EMT-B for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system and prepares graduates to enter the workforce. Students will gain complex knowledge, competency, and experience while employing evidence-based practice under medical oversight and serve as a link from the scene into the healthcare system. Graduates of this program will be eligible to take the National Registry of EMT-B exam. Students should possess good physical conditioning, strength and dexterity, have good vision and coordination and be able to respond quickly while applying critical thinking skills.
