Academic advisors are here to assist you in exploring your educational path. Your advisors will assist you in selecting a major that matches your skills and interests and will help you stay on track to graduate.

Pierpont’s advisors are happy to meet with you in person, or virtually via phone or email — whatever best fits your schedule. We know you’re busy with families, jobs, and life in general, and we want to make it convenient for you.

Find your Advisor

All students are assigned an academic advisor after enrolling at Pierpont. Students can find their advisor in their ROAR account under student information. If you can’t find your advisor or are having trouble connecting with your advisor, please reach out to

Connect with your Advisor

We recommend connecting with your advisor at least once a semester before class registration opens for the next semester. If you have any issues registering for courses, please talk to your advisor.

Beyond scheduling, students should talk to their advisor if they are considering dropping a class, withdrawing, or changing their major. We recommend talking with your advisor to ensure you stay on the path to graduation.

Advising Tools

Degree Works is an electronic tool designed for students and advisors to review your degree progress. A web-based program, Degree Works reorganizes your transcript chronologically and categorically, easily identifying courses you have completed and courses you still need in order to fulfill your degree requirements. Degree Works will be a great check-in between advising appointments. Should you ever have questions, you should still reach out to your advisor or the advising office.
