Surgical Technology Program Overview
Train for a Critical Role in the Operating Room — with a Pathway to a Degree
The Surgical Technology Career and Corporate Training (CCT) program at Pierpont Community & Technical College prepares students for entry-level employment as surgical technologists through intensive classroom instruction, hands-on lab training, and supervised clinical experience.
Students learn to prepare operating rooms, maintain sterile environments, manage surgical instruments, and assist surgeons and nurses during procedures. This workforce-focused program is designed for individuals ready to enter the healthcare field quickly — while also providing a clear pathway to continue into a college degree.
