Parks (she/her), a Clarksburg, WV native, is a Fairmont State College & WVU graduate and former remote student of Grambling State University. Parks designed and delivered the college’s Early Assessment program in area high schools, served as Associate Professor in first-year courses, including Composition Skills, Freshman Orientation, and Sociology electives, and until 2019 served as Director of Assessment & Academic Advising. In her current role, Parks acts as a resource for faculty in the design and delivery of curriculum and instruction and the assessment of student learning, with a keen interest in making the college environment as inclusive as possible. Since 2011, Parks has also served as coordinator and advisor of the Board of Governors AAS degree program, the State’s adult degree completion program. She is an active member of the Peer Review Corps of the Higher Learning Commission and works with colleges nationwide in various accreditation projects.
