What is TEAS?

TEAS is an acronym for “Test of Essential Academic Skills.” TEAS is a 4-part on-line assessment
developed by Assessment Technologies Institute™ LLC (ATI) that consists of sub-tests in Reading,
Mathematics, Science, and English. More information can be found on the ATI Website.

How much does TEAS test cost and when do I have to pay the testing fee?

The TEAS test costs $90 and must be paid on-line when you register for your testing date on the ATI
website. Re-test costs are the same as the initial test costs, $90

Where is the TEAS testing conducted?

TEAS testing is conducted at Pierpont Community & Technical College’s High Stakes Testing Center
located at 500 Galliher Drive, Fairmont WV 26554 at the Advanced Technology Center.

How long does the test take?

The TEAS test is a timed test. The total testing time for all four test areas is 3 hours and 29 minutes.
The amount of time allotted for each sub-test is as follows: • Reading – 55 Minutes • Mathematics – 57 Minutes • Science – 60 Minutes • English and Language Usage – 37 Minutes
Dates and times are available when registering for the exam for an In-Person (On Campus) test.
Allow 4 hours total for check in and scoring.

How do I register for the In-Person TEAS test?

Step 1: Visit TEAS at Your Institution | ATI (atitesting.com). Review the information.
Step 2: The “Register Now” button is located immediately below the TEAS In-Person Banner.
Step 3: Create an account or if you have an existing ATI account, select “Sign In” .
When creating your account, please select – Pierpont CTC TEAS.
It is important to remember your ATI login. You will need this on exam day.
Step 4: Follow the prompts to complete your registration.
Step 5: Once you have successfully registered, you will receive a confirmation email from ATI Nursing
Education. Be sure to reference this prior to your exam.

Please note: By clicking the “Register” button you agree to the test on the selected date. You
understand that you are responsible for repaying and rescheduling for a new test if you are unable to attend your scheduled date

How late can I wait to register to take the TEAS test?

Registration closes 48 hours prior to the testing date. Please be aware that there are a limited number of seats available on each test date. It is important to pick a test date and register before all the available seats are taken.

What to bring on exam date?

Applicants must bring a valid ID (Driver’s License) – NO ADMITTANCE WITHOUT PROPER ID. Do not bring calculators (they are built into the test). Refer to the confirmation email from ATI TEAS Registration for any additional exam day information.

How do I get my TEAS test results?

Upon completion of the online version of the ATI TEAS test, your test will be scored immediately, allowing you to view your ATI TEAS score report at that time. You can send your TEAS exam results (or TEAS Transcript) to more than one school by purchasing additional transcripts or Transcript Credits through the ATI Store. You may submit your scores to these schools following the completion of your TEAS exam. You will do this by logging into your student account and clicking the My Results tab.

Test preparation materials, including study guides and practice tests, are available to be purchased from Assessment Technologies Institute™ LLC (ATI). You can find out more by visiting their website at atitesting.com/teas-prep.
